After graduating from high school, I enrolled at Fresno City College. At the time I was indecisive on a major. I didn’t have a clear picture of where I was headed or what my future envisioned. I finally decided to pursue a career in nursing which was a passion of mine. However, I was not able to complete this goal since I decided to take a management position with a large retail sporting goods store. In this job, I traveled through out most of California. It was during this time that I met my husband Todd Tatro, a former Patriot (Class of “76”). We married on September 8, 1984 and are celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary this year. We have been blessed with two beautiful children. Our first child, Andrew was born in 1987. In 1993 we had our daughter Marissa. Over the years, Todd and I have had our share of challenges. The most recent involved our son Andrew. In 2005 while a senior at Buchanan High School, he was involved in a serious car accident leaving him with a Severe Traumatic Brain Injury. Four days later, we lost my father in-law after his battle with cancer. Andrew our “miracle” child is now working on his B.A. at CSUF. Marissa is enthusiastic about entering her sophomore year at Buchanan High School. My Heavenly Father has truly blessed my life by entrusting me with my family who has loved me unconditionally through our good, as well as our difficult times.
